Automatic Ventilation
Ventilation is essential in a greenhouse to promote heathy, disease free, growth. We were the originators of automatic ventilation for greenhouses and have been at the forefront for some sixty years. We now manufacture an opener to suit most roof, side and louvre vents. All our openers, suitable for both aluminium and timber greenhouses are fitted with a black cylinder which enables the opening temperature to be adjusted between 15ºC and 25ºC.
How it works?
The black cylinder contains a wax like substance which expands with heat. This pushes a piston which opens the vent via a metal arms linkage. As the temperature drops the wax contracts, therefore reversing the process and closing the window.
Regal Automatic Louvre Opener (Cat No: HD3060)
 This unit is designed for automatic louvre control, fitting within the frame size of the louvre. This allows the louvre to be mounted in vitually any position in the greenhouse. The release catch allows manual opening and closing of the louvre irrespective of greenhouse temperature. It has an attractive powder coated body and is corrosion resistant throughout.
Automatic Roof Vent Opener (Cat No: HD3200)
 This opener is the latest in a line of THERMOFOR® roof vent openers designed and supplied over the past 50 years. This model is an attractive cost effective unit with a unique opening action, ensuring a smooth twist free operation, and with the cylinder mounted within the bracket to eliminate projection in the greenhouse. It is finished in a durable polyester powder coating and is corrosion resistant throughout. Easily fitted to Aluminium and wooden greenhouses it will lift up to 7kg (15.45 lbs), i.e a vent weighing up to 14kg (glass area not exceeding 0.75m² in an aluminium frame), with a maximum opening of 35cm (14 inches).
Automatic Side Vent Opener (Cat no: HD3400)
With the same unique action and smooth twist free operation as the HD3200 this unit incorporating double upper arms has a stronger bracket assembly and includes extra strong springs to provide a very positive closing action. It is recommended for use on both aluminium and timber roof and top hung side vents, particuarly light polycarbonate glazed, in exposed areas to reduce wind snatch effect and provide increased resistance to wind flutter. Finished in a durable polyester powder coating and corrosion resistant throughout. It will lift up to 6 kg (13.25lbs), i.e a vent weighing up to 12 kg (glass area not exceeding 0.65m² in an aluminium frame), with a maximum opening of 35cm (14 inches).
